DSIC signed for delivery of the initial 55k DWT chemical/product oil carrier constructed for Singapore-based IMC Group on May 12, where the representatives signed on the Ship Delivery & Acceptance Protocol on behalf of DSIC, IMC and CSOC respectively.
The vessel is the initial one of three 55k DWT chemical/product oil carriers inked between IMC and DSIC. During construction of this project, there are many highlights for DSIC, such as 138 blocks erected in 11 days, alignment of shafting load ready for acceptance test only in one day, and sea trial finished in 7 days successively. Smooth delivery of the vessel is not only a witness of sincere partnership hand in hand between IMC and DSIC, but also a good foundation laid for further expansion in the future.
