Recently, the 27.5MW exhaust gas washing and desulfurization tower project built by DSIC Equipment Manufacture Co. for China Merchants Energy Shipping was completed joint acceptance and successfully delivered.
This tower is of a new type successfully built after the completion of the 11MW desulfurization tower, and the overall quality standard has reached the leading level in China. This type of desulfurization tower is nearly 12 meters high, 7.5 meters in diameter and about 16 tons in total weight. It is constructed of S31803 and S31254 duplex stainless steel and designed with integrated desulfurization and denitration. It can be used for exhaust treatment of 50,000 horsepower marine diesel engine
This tower was designed by Wartsila Company, and DSIC Equipment Manufacture Co. was responsible for the one-stop construction of plate blanking, assembly welding, pickling and passivation, air tightness and packaging. Due to the large size of the tower, flange locking device is adopted at the joints of the cylinder body, which requires high straightness, flatness and overall butt size of finished flange.
DSIC Equipment Manufacture Co. has given full play to the advantages in project management. Through the linkage of quality, technology and production departments, many production technology coordination meetings have been held to analyze drawings carefully, pre-judge difficulties and work out solutions in advance, and complete construction task successfully . The experts from all sides highly appreciated the quality control and welding technology.
