DSIC Won the Bidding of APLNG Transport Project (2nd Phase) for Construction of 2 large LNG Carriers
DSIC officially received the letter of acceptance issued by the joint preparatory office of China Shipping and Sinopec on Jan. 16, which means DSIC has won the bidding of APLNG project (2nd phase) for construction of 2 large LNG carriers.
China Shipping and Sinopec organized the bidding invitation of APLNG project (2nd phase) for construction of 2 large LNG carriers in Aug. 2014, where Hudong-zhonghua Shipyard, Rongsheng Heavy Industries and DSIC participated in the bidding. After a 5-month tense review, DSIC ended up winning the project with its total points at the first place. The bidding success is not only an affirmation on DSIC’s long-term multifaceted and tireless endeavors in LNG carrier design and construction in the past 10 years, but also a recognition of shipowner for various abilities of DSIC in design and construction of new products, which enables DSIC to reach a height in developing high-tech and high-value added new products and lay a good foundation for marketing and international competiveness of future gas carriers and relevant products.
